June Ambrose for The Coveteur

Fur Hat, Bergdorf Goodman; Fur Collar, Salvatore Ferragamo; Dress, Marc Jacobs
Well, she really isn't but she is someone I admire a lot and she is of Caribbean decent so that elevates her to some sort of familial status in my mind. Her love of furs, frames, and 70s-inspired apparel makes my heart shimmy. And, while I usually avoid my favorite celebrities on social networks, her Instagram is one of my favorites in general. From runway shows to bargain finds to recipes to motivational words to snapshots of outings with her children, she seems to maintain a positive and authentic being while balancing work and family in a wonderful pair of heels. I recently ran across her profile on The Coveteur and was reminded of how amazing she is at her craft. The feature was done at her home at gave readers a glance at her deliciously decorated New York home and even-more mesmerizing closet. Here are a couple of snapshots from the story:

Headpiece, Maison Michel; Necklace, Lulu Frost

June recently released a collection of shoes on HSN. On the collection, she says:
My collection "Disco Paradise”, is the perfect balance between fashion and function. I wanted my shoes to be easy to wear so most of my collection is designed with a single sole that makes you feel like you're wearing the height of a tall pump when really, you're walking around in my sturdy architectural heels or wedges. For additional comfort, all of my shoes are designed with a cushion at the base of the shoe for pounding the pavement with ease. Each shoe is designed to help reinvent those classic and basic pieces in your wardrobe with adventurous patterns (on your feet!). Perfect for day to night, the bold textiles and metallic trims are not only strategically placed but are also appropriate to wear to the work place or... onto the dance floor! I'm from the Caribbean and I love to dance so I was inspired by the Caribbean paradise and the idea of bringing disco to the day time, all with a timeless sophisticated approach. There's just something about mixing textures with tropical prints and bold metallics that brings out the wild disco queen in all of us!

The collection of 7 shoes (a few depicted above) features bold colors, fun prints, and textures. I'm definitely keeping my eye out for a couple of them (i.e. nude ikat wedge and the purple peacock block heel). See the full collection here.
